Founded in 2016 by Ceyhun Güney, The Internet Shop functions as a distributed workshop: a core operator working with a shifting network of creatives. Project-based constellations form around commissions for institutions, brands, and individuals, including Adidas, Nike, SONY Music, Umbro, NRW Forum, and Zalando. As a Shopify Partner since 2017, the studio is specialised in the creation and development custom e-commerce storefronts.

The studio's output spans creative consulting, graphic design, art direction, and web development. Parallel to commissioned work, experimental concepts emerge that exist outside traditional formats. These often materialize in the shop: as physical artifacts, digital systems, or viral content. Some evolve into memes, circulating independently across platforms.

Operations move fluidly between institutional and informal contexts. Exhibitions at K21 Düsseldorf Germany (2024), DAS Bologna Italy (2019), Ars Electronica Linz Austria (2018), The Internet Yami-Ichi Brussels Belgium (2017) reflect a practice situated at the intersection of subcultural production and established frameworks. Collaborations with KPM Berlin, Lars Eidinger, Arvida Byström, and Souvenir Official further emphasize the networked and interdisciplinary structure.

The work has been documented in various publications, including PAPER Magazine, Highsnobiety, Vice, and Die ZEIT, underscoring its relevance across both mainstream and specialist cultural channels.
